Our Commitment to Sustainability
We are dedicated to protecting our planet and promoting sustainable practices throughout our school community. Leading this important work is Mrs Longdon, who oversees our sustainability and climate action initiatives.
We are proud to have a fantastic group of children acting as Sustainability Ambassadors. They play a key role in driving positive change across the school and inspiring others to make a difference.
Our Planet Protectors have already introduced a range of initiatives to help us consider the impact we have on our environment, including:
- Leading worship focused on climate action and sustainability.
- Reducing plastic waste by stopping the use of laminating.
- Monitoring food waste and raising awareness about reducing waste.
- Organising grounds clean-ups and creating bird feeders to support local wildlife.
As part of our development of this area we undertook an initial audit. Below are the results which we are working on to improve our grounds and policies around sustainability. Together, we are working towards a greener, more sustainable future for everyone.
